Russia has stated that the Zapizhzhia nuclear power plant, captured by the occupiers, would work for the russian federation, but "is ready to supply electricity to Ukraine for a price". This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of the russian federation Marat Khusnullin, - RIA Novosti writes.

"Energy electricity is a commodity that cannot be stored in a warehouse. Therefore, if the energy system of Ukraine is ready to accept and pay money, then we will work, if it won't - the nuclear power plant will work for russia", - Khusnullin said.

As previously reported, the Zaporizhzhia NPP and the city of Enerhodar have been temporarily captured by the occupiers since March 4. Heavy equipment and ammunition were placed at the station site. The russian military banned the plant's managers from leaving the city, even on official business. It was reported that representatives of the russian Rosatom demanded daily reports from the leadership of the Zapizhzhia nuclear power plant on "confidential matters" regarding the functioning of the nuclear power plant.
