Rashists try to break through state border of Ukraine in Sumy oblast - head of regional state administration

At about 7:00 a.m. on May 16, russian invaders attempted to break through the state border on the territory of the Sumy region. This was announced by head of the Sumy regional state administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi in his Telegram channel.

"The enemy opened fire on the border area of the Shostka district using mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns and submachine guns", - the statement said.

The enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups tried to enter the territory of the Sumy oblast under cover of fire.

"Border guards gave battle to the russians, who retreated beyond the state border", - Zhyvytskyi writes.
