"There are a lot of mistakes… But in war, mistakes are always someone's life " - Arestovych

There are many cases in Ukraine when, during mobilization, those citizens who, for health reasons, cannot fight, were taken into the army. Adviser to the head of the Office of the President Oleksiy Arestovych told this on the air on Channel 24, - TSN reports.

"I am a supporter of a differentiated approach to mobilization. It is not a secret that we have many cases when even epileptics are taken into the army simply because a draft notice has been delivered. And people with eight years of combat experience cannot get (into the army. - ed.) where they want. These are excesses on the ground", - the adviser to the President's Office says.

Arestovych assured that each such case is being considered separately and the attention of the top military leadership is being drawn to this. The adviser to the head of the Office of the President said that he personally helped several people with disabilities avoid mobilization, "although exemption from mobilization is a difficult process".

Also, the adviser to the head of the President's Office commented on the issues of the territorial defense units at the front.

"There are annoying cases, which we are now dealing with, when terrorist defense units were thrown into battle with almost no appropriate training. You need to understand where there was an urgent military need, and where it was just individual commanders who decided: "Well. They are the troops. Let them go to war. This is an unacceptable situation", - he said.

According to Arestovych, many of these fighters have already been taken to the second line of defense and allowed to rest.

"With all the upsurge and unity of the nation, there are a lot of mistakes. There will be even more of them. But in war, mistakes are always someone's life. And there are also cases of direct treason, or very similar to it. If you knew the whole truth, you would be horrified. But I will tell it after the victory. The price of victory will be heavy. The central authorities do not always have time to react because of the fog of war. You do not have time for everything", - Oleksiy Arestovych explained and assured that the authorities are doing everything possible to respond and avoid these mistakes.
