Occupiers admit that they completely destroyed Azovstal: iron and steel works cannot be restored

Occupiers of the "DNR" have admitted that the Azovstal iron and steel works was destroyed by them to such an extent that it cannot be restored. Self-proclaimed "mayor" of Mariupol Konstantin Ivashchenko told this in a comment to the Russian media.

"Unfortunately, yes. I confirm this. There were very serious attacks on it", - he said, without specifying that Azovstal was and continues to be subjected to massive artillery fire from the russian invaders. In addition, the Azovstal industrial zone, where Ukrainian troops are holding the defense, is being destroyed with factory buster.

Earlier, leader of the "DNR" Pushilin voiced a more or less acceptable "version" of why one of the city-forming enterprises of Mariupol ceased to exist after the arrival of the "liberators". It turns out that "the Azovstal plant polluted Mariupol, preventing it from becoming a resort city".
