The russian Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the Moskva guided missile cruiser, on which a fire broke out on April 13, sank in the Black Sea while being towed.

This is reported by Interfax.

"Due to the damage to the hull received during the fire from the detonation of ammunition, the ship lost its stability. The ship sank in the conditions of stormy sea", - the russian Defense Ministry said in a report.

As for the crew, it is rumoured that the ministry of the aggressor country was evacuated to other ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the russian federation, which were nearby.

As previously reported, the russian Defense Ministry assured that the Moskva cruiser, which was seriously damaged off the coast of Odesa, remained afloat and was being towed to the port.
