French automaker Renault has resumed production at its plant in Moscow. LIGA.Business writes this with reference to foreign media.

The enterprise stopped at the end of February after the Russian attack on Ukraine, the company cited logistical problems.

Renault's decision to resume production allegedly has the support of the French government, which is its main shareholder.

At the Moscow plant, Renault assembles Duster, Arkana and Kaptur crossovers for Russia, as well as the Nissan Terrano SUV.

Renault also owns a controlling block of shares in the AvtoVAZ Russian automaker. It accounts for up to a third of the passenger car market in Russia and employs about 40 000 people.

French business, unlike many other Western companies, is actively resisting calls to leave the Russian market. Auchan, Decathlon, Leroy Merlin - all these companies continue to work in Russia, despite its aggression against Ukraine.
