Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE SMM) has documented a record level of violations of the cease-fire since September 2015. It is reported by Deutsche Welle referring to the statement of the OSCE SMM in Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan.

According to Apakan, "the situation created by the parties on the contact line is unacceptable." Apakan noted an extremely large number of cases of use of heavy weapons and mortars.

Head of the OSCE mission in Ukraine expressed concern about the situation and called on both parties to the conflict "to respect the commitments given by them, especially to comply with ceasefire and ensure the security of civilians in the conflict zone."

In addition, Apakan pointed out obstacles, associated with the escalation of violence, in the restoration of the destroyed infrastructure needed to return normal life to people, - said the statement.
