Ship not from Romania, but from Moldova fired at in Black Sea. 10 crew members injured

In the Black Sea on February 25, Russian aggressors have fired on the Millennial Spirit ship under the flag not of Romania, but of Moldova. This was clarified by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration.

"According to the information of the port captain's service of the Odesa branch of the USPA, two missiles hit the Milenial spirit bunkering barge (Moldova flag) at vessel anchorage 355 at 12:10, which had 600 tons of fuel oil and diesel on board. According to preliminary data,  it was fired upon by a Russian warship. One missile hit the deck tructure, the other hit the midsection. There was a fire that could lead to an environmental disaster during the explosion. The crew members ended up in the water and called for help", - the message says.

It is noted that tugboats Briz-1, Victory, PK-888 and KPL-99 were sent to the bunkering barge to extinguish the fire. To rescue the crew - SAR 02.

Assistance was rendered to 10 members of the Millennial Spirit crew. Two crew members are in critical condition, including the burnt captain, his arm is broken, others are in a satisfactory condition.

"The injured were delivered to the port of Chornomorsk at 14:15. The injured were taken to the local hospitalby ambulance. The bunkering barge is at anchor. The situation is under control", - the report says.
