Ukraine is ready to take on insurance commitment for flight safety in Ukrainian airspace. This was written by Deputy Head of the Office of the President (OP) Kyrylo Tymoshenko on his Facebook.

"Ukraine is ready to assume financial obligations for the safety of aircraft in the Ukrainian sky. To ensure flight safety, the Government today decided to allocate funds to the Ministry of Infrastructure from the reserve fund of the State Budget. Guarantees will be provided to insurance companies, reinsurers, leasing companies and air carriers. After the normalization of the foreign policy situation, unused funds will be directed to the state budget", - he reported.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided at an extraordinary session on Sunday to allocate $592 million to the Ministry of Infrastructure from the reserve fund of the State Budget to ensure the safety of aircraft flights in the country's airspace.

As previously reported, global insurance companies refused to issue insurance for aircraft from the EU located in the airspace of Ukraine due to possible Russian aggression. Because of this, the owners of such boards demanded that they be immediately returned to the territory of the European Union.
