Russian President Vladimir Putin has introduced a bill on citizenship to the State Duma, further simplifying the issuance of Russian passports to foreigners. This is reported by the Russian media.

It is noted that the bill provides for a reduction in the number of requirements for more than 20 categories of persons when they are admitted to the citizenship of the Russian Federation and recognized as Russian citizens.

First of all, this refers to the citizens of the former USSR, - the document says.

As previously reported, the Kremlin uses the procedure for granting Russian citizenship as a tool for the occupation of independent states. In particular, after the massive distribution of Russian passports in the uncontrolled Donbas, Kremlin politicians began to openly declare the right to use the Russian armed forces to "protect compatriots" outside Russia.
