A third of Ukrainians sees no changes in resolving issue of the war in Donbas - poll

A third of Ukrainians did not see any changes in resolving the issue of war in the Donbas. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Rating sociological group.

About half of the respondents saw no changes in the fight against corruption over the year (37% noted a deterioration) and the resolution of war in the Donbas (34% noted a deterioration).

As for the international image of Ukraine, an improvement was seen by 20% (28% - noted no change, 40% - a deterioration), in road safety - by 19% (34% - noted no change, 41% - a deterioration), quality of medical care - by 17% (31% - noted no change, 45% - deterioration) and quality of education - by 12% (28% - noted no change, 40% - deterioration).

Also, the majority indicated no changes in areas such as stability of the hryvnia exchange rate and freedom of speech and democracy.

At the same time, the majority felt deterioration in the situation with tariffs for utilities (80%) and with prices for basic goods and medicines (90%).

About half of the respondents saw deterioration in the opportunity to find a job (29% - noted no change, 11% - improvement) and the quality of housing and communal services (37% - noted no change, 9% - improvement).

Audience: the population of Ukraine over 18 years old and older in all regions, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. The sample is representative in terms of age, sex and type of settlement. Sampled population: 2500 respondents. Interview method: CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews - telephone interviews using a computer). The error of the representativeness of the study with a confidence level of 0.95: no more than 2.0%. Term: December 16-18, 2021.
