Russia promises not to allow NATO infrastructure to be located on the territory of Ukraine and Georgia. This was stated by head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna Negotiations on Military Security and Arms Control Konstantin Gavrilov on the air of a propaganda talk show on Russian TV.

If this does happen, the Russian party threatens with some "other response".

"I think so. Or the answer will be completely different", - he said, confirming the thesis that the Russian Federation will under no circumstances begin to swing and that the NATO infrastructure will located in Ukraine and Georgia.

As previously reported, Russia presented on December 17 draft documents outlining security measures that it wants to discuss with the USA and its NATO allies. One of the main points of this project is the U.S. refusal to support the further expansion of NATO to the east and the admission of the countries that were part of the USSR, including Ukraine, into the alliance. In turn, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg named the conditions for working with Russia on its new security proposal on December 17 and proposed working to restore confidence. Stoltenberg said that NATO received the documents and that "any dialogue with Russia will also need to take into account NATO's concerns about Russia's actions, be based on key principles and documents in the field of European security and take place in consultation with NATO's European partners such as Ukraine". The Ukrainian MFA stated that the best guarantee of security on the continent is the end of the war unleashed by Russia in Ukraine. The Ukrainian MFA stressed that the main problem of the security of the Euro-Atlantic space at the present time is the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, as well as Russian escalation along the border of Ukraine and in its occupied territories.
