The so-called "DNR/LNR people's militia" corps is commanded by 600 to 800 Russian officers and generals. This is said in the message of the Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

"Professional Russian military personnel are in command positions of the 1st and 2nd army corps of the Russian occupation forces", - it notes.

Participation in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine helps the career growth of Russian officers and generals.

The Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reports that the 1st and 2nd army corps of the Russian occupation forces were formed on the basis of the battalion-tactical groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation that entered the territory of Ukraine in August and September 2014.
