Ministry for Reintegration proposes to increase scholarship for students from Crimea and Donbas

The Ministry for Reintegration has proposed to the Cabinet of Ministers to increase the scholarship for all students who came from the occupied Crimea and Donbas to study in the territory controlled by Kyiv. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Reintegration of Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk stated on the air of Radio Krym.Realii.

"We have proposed, and I have no doubt that my colleagues from the government, the Prime Minister and the President will support me, to increase the scholarship to all students who came from the uncontrolled territories to $240", - Vereshchuk reported.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine reported that more than two thousand students from the annexed Crimea and occupied parts of the Donbas were enrolled at Ukrainian higher education institutions this year.

Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova announced on September 1 that half of the applicants applied to the educational centers Crimea-Ukraine and Donbas-Ukraine in 2021 in comparison to the previous year. Applicants who came from the Crimea and Donbas to Ukrainian higher education institutions could submit up to five budget applications by July 20, 2021. The admission took place through the Crimea-Ukraine and Donbas-Ukraine educational centers.
