Ukraine to receive another batch of U.S. military aid this week

The USA has prepared and is ready to send to Ukraine the last batch of a $60 million-worth security assistance package President Joe Biden approved in September. This was reported at a media briefing by Pentagon Spokesman John Kirby, - Ukrinform reports.

"I think you know President Biden approved a $60 million security assistance package for Ukraine; the final elements (of this assistance – ed.) will be arriving in Ukraine this week", - official representative for the U.S. defense department noted.

Asked to clarify what the assistance package includes, Kirby explained that the batch consists of small arms and ammunition. He stressed that the United States strengthens the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian army in this way.

As previously reported, the White House announced the allocation of an additional package of defense support for Ukraine during Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to Washington. In addition, the parties signed a Framework Agreement on the Strategic Foundations of the Defense Partnership.
