In the area of the Joint Forces Operation on December 8, two violations of the ceasefire by the armed formations of the Russian Federation were recorded, - the JFO headquarters reported. The occupiers fired from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms in the direction of the settlement of New York and the village of Novooleksandrivka. There are no casualties among the military personnel of the Joint Forces as a result of the enemy actions. Ukrainian defenders returned fire and forced the enemy to stop shelling.

Leader of the terrorist Vostok Battalion Alexander Khodakovsky confirmed that the command to fire and provoke the AFU to return fire to the militants in the occupied Donbas came from Russia. He wrote this on his page on the social network. So, Khodakovsky commented on the negotiations between head of the Russian Federation Putin and U.S. President Biden, believing that if there was no order from Moscow for provocation at the front in CADLO after this, then "each side remained at its positions". "They talked and each side remained in its position. Russia is trying to avoid war in every possible way - this is understandable and evident. Otherwise, we would have already received an order to provoke Ukraine in order to force it to go on the offensive with the subsequent reaction of Russia But we do not receive such commands. We react when they get us - this is present. But there are no deliberate provocations on our part - as for me, I repeat, this is an indicator", - Khodakovsky wrote. Moreover, according to the leader of the militants, instead of an offensive at the front in eastern Ukraine, Russia may choose a different tactic and recognize the "DNR" and "LNR" quasi-formations.

There are not enough miners on the territory of Donbas occupied by the Russian Federation, who left for the Russian Federation to work after numerous closings of mines. Separatist segment of information resources wrote this. For example, the announcement of recruitment for the Shchehlovska-Hlyboka mine has been heard in local grocery stores for about two months. As head of the mine Vitaliy Soboliev told, now 736 people work there, of which 315 are underground. The state needs almost one and a half thousand. Only about a hundred workers were found over two months. Local social networks wrote that the miners do not trust the promises of the "republican" authorities about stabilization in the coal industry and are striving to go to work in the Russian Federation. One of the local Telegram channels reported that the Russian recruiting of miners in CADLO has now become more cautious, since "the republican authorities do not favor them", but at the same time, new proposals have appeared - not only in Yakutia, but also on the island of Spitsbergen. According to the information spread, the salaries of a wireman, a shaft man, a miner or a loco driver in Svalbard are $1000-1300, and if the qualification is higher, then it can be even $2000. "Even taking into account the need to give 15% of the earned to an intermediary-employer, it is still very profitable even for "official miners", and if you are an employee of a small illegal coalmine, it turns out that you can earn in a month as in half a year. By the way, unlike the LDNR, salaries in Svalbard are paid in full and in due time, which is also very important", - was noted in the separatist Telegram channel, having added that for CADLO, "some bleak picture is obtained…"

Another 577 cases of COVID-19 were detected in the occupied territory of the Donetsk oblast over the day. This was reported by the so-called "Ministry of Health of the DNR". In addition, 54 patients died. In total, as of today, there are 112 540 patients with COVID-19 infection in CADO, 8594 people died. 4929 patients are undergoing treatment (inpatient and outpatient). The occupiers also identified 58 cases of "usual" pneumonia over the day, of which 31 patients were hospitalized. 1364 patients with pneumonia are being treated, of which 948 are on oxygen support (+13 over the day).

More than 660 subscribers in the Dovzhansk district and Brianka of the occupied Luhansk region were left without electricity due to emergency outages. This was said in the message of the so-called "Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LNR". Thus, as a result of the emergency shutdown of the high-voltage line, 74 subscribers remained without power supply in the urban-type settlement of Komsomolsky and 205 subscribers - in the village of Oleksandrivka of the Dovzhansk district. The accident in Brianka left 382 subscribers without power in the village of Lomuvatka. In addition, more than 1850 subscribers in Luhansk and Slovianoserbsk district remained without power supply due to accidents that occurred on December 4-5 as a result of unfavorable weather conditions.

Stele "Russia" was dismantled in the center of occupied Donetsk, allegedly "for restoration". But the townspeople reacted approvingly in local social networks: "One, two, three, Russia - go away!"; "Take it away at all"; "The stele at the Arena was dismantled for restoration as well, where is it?".
