Moreover, according to the leader of the militants, instead of an offensive at the front in eastern Ukraine, Russia may choose a different tactic and recognize the "DNR" and "LNR" quasi-formations.

"Even taking into account the need to give 15% of the earned to an intermediary-employer, it is still very profitable even for "official miners", and if you are an employee of a small illegal coalmine, it turns out that you can earn in a month as in half a year. Another 577 cases of COVID-19 were detected in the occupied territory of the Donetsk oblast over the day. This was reported by the so-called "Ministry of Health of the DNR". In addition, 54 patients died. In total, as of today, there are 112 540 patients with COVID-19 infection in CADO, 8594 people died. 4929 patients are undergoing treatment (inpatient and outpatient). The occupiers also identified 58 cases of "usual" pneumonia over the day, of which 31 patients were hospitalized. 1364 patients with pneumonia are being treated, of which 948 are on oxygen support (+13 over the day).

More than 660 subscribers in the Dovzhansk district and Brianka of the occupied Luhansk region were left without electricity due to emergency outages. In addition, more than 1850 subscribers in Luhansk and Slovianoserbsk district remained without power supply due to accidents that occurred on December 4-5 as a result of unfavorable weather conditions.
