Workers of the Dobropilska coal mine of the Dobropilliavuhillia state-owned enterprise have refused to go down into the mine on December 6, demanding payment of wage arrears. This was announced on December 7 by chairman of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine Mykhailo Volynets on his Facebook.

According to him, the 3rd and 4th gangs of the mining installers at the Dobropilska mine refused to go down the face on Monday because of non-payment of wages.

"This morning, the drivers of the KRAZ trucks and the drivers of the bulldozers of the Dobropilliavuhillia-winning state enterprise's motor depot did not start work. The security service of the Almazna coal mine also refused to carry out its duties. The labor collective is considering the possibility of absenteeism from buses", - Mykhailo Volynets wrote.

The trade union leader recalled that on December 2, 90 miners from gangs 1 and 2 of the Almazna coal mine remained underground, demanding their wages to be paid out. After lengthy negotiations with the administration, the miners agreed to go to the surface. The management of the enterprise found an opportunity to pay part of the money the next day, but not to all employees of the mine administration.

As reported, the total wage debt to employees of state-owned mines at the beginning of November amounted to 1.85 billion hryvnias. The debt on payments to the miners of Dobropilliavuhillia-winning exceeds UAH 100 million.
