Ministry of Health warns about scammers because of "Zelensky's thousand"

The Ministry of Health does not send messages to citizens with a request to provide personal data in order to receive thousand hryvnias for a full course of vaccination. This was stated at a briefing on December 6 by Minister of Health Viktor Liashko.

According to him, information with a request to send a card number and other personal data to receive 1000 hryvnias ($37) for a full course of vaccinations is being sent on behalf of the Ministry of Health.

"In fact, no messages were generated or sent to citizens on behalf of the ministry. The "Support" program of special-purpose funding of vulnerable categories of business during the quarantine will begin on December 19. The mechanism for obtaining financial assistance is online, through the Diia mobile application, - he noted.

As previously reported, the "Support" program, initiated by the President of Ukraine, starts on December 19 and will last during the next year. Within its framework, citizens will be able to receive support from the state in the amount of UAH 1000. ($37) For these funds, it will be possible to purchase a gym or a fitness club membership, visit a cinema, theater, museum or concert hall, or buy tickets for trips within the country – for domestic air and rail travels, as well as purchase books. Adult citizens who have completed a full course of vaccination will be able to take part in the program, which is confirmed by the corresponding certificate in the Diia mobile application. The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on December 2, providing for the allocation of UAH 8 billion ($293 million) from the state budget of Ukraine for 2021 to pay one thousand hryvnias to Ukrainians who have completed a full course of vaccination against COVID-19.
