Again anti-records. More than 23 thousand new cases of COVID-19 and 614 deaths recorded in Ukraine for the first time

23 785 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

23 785 people fell ill over the past day, including 1800 children and 391 health workers. 5141 people were hospitalized and 614 – died.

8 530 people recovered on October 21.

134 329 tests were carried over the past day, of which 72 999 – by PCR, 15 546 – by EIA and 45 784 – by rapid antigen tests.

2 725 385 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2 361 365 patients recovered and 63 003 people died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the Lviv (1647), Dnipropetrovsk (1641), Odesa (1484) and Zaporizhzhia (1391) oblasts, as well as in the city of Kyiv (1323).
