Almost 19 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine. Donetsk oblast ranks high

18 912 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

18 912 people fell ill over the past day, including 1447 children and 435 health workers. 5468 people were hospitalized and 495 – died.

7 605 people recovered on October 19.

137 355 tests were carried over the past day, of which 67 258 – by PCR, 14 142 – by EIA and 55 955 – by rapid antigen tests.

2 679 185 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2 344 799 patients recovered and 61 843 people died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the Odesa (1606), Dnipropetrovsk (1253), Kharkiv (1242), Zaporizhzhia (1225) and Donetsk (1040) oblasts.

742 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the controlled territory of the Luhansk oblast.
