More than 12 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine

11 996 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

11 996 people fell ill over the past day, including 1262 children and 227 health workers. 2274 people were hospitalized and 352 – died.

5 419 people recovered on October 11.

93 732 tests were carried over the past day, of which 46 233 – by PCR, 8 913 – by EIA and 38 586 – by rapid antigen tests.

2 562 085 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2 297 899 patients recovered and 59 052 people died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the Kharkiv (1502), Lviv (978), Dnipropetrovsk (856), Odesa (816) and Zaporizhzhia (715) oblasts.

548 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the controlled territory of the Luhansk oblast and 607 – in the Donetsk.
