12.6 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine. More than a thousand of them are in children

12 662 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on October 6.

12 662 people fell ill over the past day, including 1 186 children and 271 health workers. 3 745 people were hospitalized and 320 – died.

4 630 people recovered on October 5.

135 559 tests were carried over the past day, of which 54 386 – by PCR, 11 665 – by EIA and 69 508 – by rapid antigen tests.

2 482 518 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2 273 382 patients recovered and 57 526 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the Kharkiv (1163), Odesa (1076), Dnipropetrovsk (964) and Zaporizhzhia (783) oblasts, as well as in the city of Kyiv.
