Incidence of COVID-19 in Kramatorsk increased by 50%

The incidence of coronavirus infection in Kramatorsk has increased by 50% over the past week. Head of the health department Andriy Petrichenko reported this at the operational meeting on October 5, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"328 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the city over the past week and 214 – over the previous week. The incidence rate over the past seven days increased by 53.3%. The average number of new cases per day is 48.9", - Andriy Petrichenko informed.

190 patients with pneumonia are now undergoing inpatient treatment. Of them, 175 have confirmed COVID-19. 157 patients need oxygen support. Another 345 infected are being treated at home under the supervision of family doctors.

According to Andriy Petrichenko, the "covid" department of the city hospital No.3, designed for 200 beds, is fully occupied by patients. 70 more beds are provided in the Kramatorsk hospital No.1 for their hospitalization. Today there are 50 free beds. In addition, special containers with a volume of 6 and 10 tons will be installed in these medical institutions in November-December to provide the departments with liquid oxygen.

14 644 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Kramatorsk since the beginning of the pandemic, including 765 children and 653 health workers. 344 patients died from complications of coronavirus infection.
