Sharp spike: more than three thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine

3663 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

3663 people fell ill over the past day, including 342 children and 63 health workers. 981 people were hospitalized and 61 – died.

1546 people recovered on September 8.

62 730 tests were carried over the past day, of which 27 895 – by PCR, 9397 – by EIA and 25 438 – by rapid antigen tests.

2 306 939 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2 217 563 patients recovered and 54 175 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (379), the Lviv (318), Kharkiv (302), Odesa (222) and Dnipropetrovsk (209) oblasts.

150 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the controlled territory of Luhansk oblast and 167 – in the Donetsk.
