There will be no passage operations at the Olenivka checkpoint in the occupied territory of Donetsk region on September 17 and 24. This was announced on September 3 by the so-called "DNR headquarters to prevent the importation and spread of coronavirus".

"The Olenovka checkpoint will not allow citizens and vehicles to enter and exit on September 17 and 24, 2021 due to technical problems", - the message says.

Let us recall that the Olenivka checkpoint of the "DNR" occupiers, which is located opposite the Ukrainian Novotroitske checkpoint, usually operates twice a week - on Mondays and Fridays.

Hiding behind the COVID-19 quarantine, the occupiers require permission to enter from the so-called "DNR interdepartmental operational headquarters for coronavirus", which issues it on the basis of previously submitted applications from the residents. Only those who have a residence permit in the free territory of Ukraine are released from the occupied territory.

Also, when entering, the occupiers require from those crossing the demarcation line filling out a consent form for appointment to the inpatient department of a healthcare institution for examination. Or undergoing a paid examination while passing the checkpoint (rapid test for new coronavirus infection Covid-19).

At the same time, in case of a negative result, those entering CADO fill out a consent form to stay in self-isolation at home at the place of residence (stay), in case of a positive result, they are sent to the inpatient department of a healthcare institution for further examination.

Let us note that all checkpoints on the contact line in the territory controlled by Ukraine operate daily from 08.00 to 16.00. However, traffic in most humanitarian road corridors is blocked from the side of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

At the same time, the conditions for crossing the demarcation line have been changed at the checkpoints, which is associated with quarantine. Citizens of Ukraine who are subject to self-isolation, while traveling to the controlled territory, are required to install and activate the Vdoma application. If it is impossible to install a mobile application, they are subject to observation. Foreigners, when crossing the demarcation line, in addition to this, must have an insurance policy.

At the same time, there is a wide list of categories of citizens to whom self-isolation is not applied. We advise citizens to familiarize themselves with the full list of categories of persons who do not fall under self-isolation in advance. Self-isolation will be terminated if a negative test result for COVID-19 is obtained by PCR or a rapid test, which is carried out after crossing the checkpoint.
