More than two thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine. Donetsk oblast ranks high

2075 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

2075 people fell ill over the past day, including 153 children and 52 health workers. 874 people were hospitalized, 44 – died.

925 people recovered on August 31.

63 401 tests were carried over the past day, of which 28 140 – by PCR, 8159 – by EIA and 27 102 – by rapid antigen tests.

2 288 371 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2 208 865 patients recovered and 53 833 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (268), the Kharkiv (177), Donetsk (139), Chernivtsi (128) and Lviv (121) oblasts.

115 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the controlled territory of Luhansk oblast.
