More than 1.5 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine

1560 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

1560 people fell ill over the past day, including 90 children and 35 health workers. 665 people were hospitalized, 32 – died.

898 people recovered on August 18.

50 593 tests were carried over the past day, of which 23 612 – by PCR, 7968 – by EIA and 19 013 – by rapid antigen tests.

2 270 226 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2 199 118 patients recovered and 53 368 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (245), the Kharkiv (130), Odesa (105), Ternopil (87) and Chernivtsi (82) oblasts.

69 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the controlled territory of Donetsk oblast and 52 - in the Luhansk.
