Zelensky's appeal to residents of CADO who feel themselves Russians: Razumkov does not share the position of the President

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov does not share the opinion of President Volodymyr Zelensky that residents of the occupied Donbas, who feel themselves Russians, should look for a future in Russia. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Razumkov's briefing in the Poltava oblast.

In his opinion, the authorities should work to make residents of all regions feel Ukrainians, and to create conditions for "the return of all its people".

"I think that we need to make the residents of Donbas, Crimea and all of Ukraine feel themselves Ukrainians. So that they definitely would not want to go anywhere. This is the task of the entire government… we, on the contrary, need to return those who went to Europe and… to the Russian Federation not from a good fortune - there were such moments", - he commented on Zelensky's appeal to the residents of Donbas.

He also recalled that the future new authorities went to the 2019 election with slogans, including that it is necessary to create conditions for the return of Ukrainians. "It is true that a large number of the Donbas residents went to the territory of free Ukraine, but at that time, the authorities were unable to provide conditions for the normal existence of people", - the speaker emphasized.

According to him, those who had some money entrenched themselves in the free territory, but many others left Ukraine, including to Russia. "We should work to ensure that people return", - Razumkov added.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the residents of the occupied Donbas in an interview with the Dom TV channel. He urged those who feel themselves Russians to look for a place in Russia "for the sake of their children and grandchildren".
