More than a thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine again

1081 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

1081 people fell ill over the past day, including 74 children and 32 health workers. 516 people were hospitalized, 16 – died.

478 people recovered on August 5.

42 597 tests were carried over the past day, of which 19 929 – by PCR, 7546 – by EIA and 15 122 – by rapid antigen tests.

2 257 478 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2 189 293 patients recovered and 53 065 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (164), the Kherson (95), Odesa (92), Kharkiv (83) and Lviv (64) oblasts.

57 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the controlled territory of Donetsk oblast and 25 – in the Luhansk.
