Calling himself "Acting Minister of Health of the DNR" Alexander Oprishchenko promises to vaccinate about 1.7 million people by winter. He told local journalists about this, commenting on the supply of a small batch of Russian vaccine to CADO.

"70% is enough to create herd immunity. According to statistics, we have more than 2.3 million people - you can count yourself (it turns out about 1.7 million people - OstroV). It is difficult to say how the vaccination will go this time. Last time, we vaccinated more than 50 000 people over, I do not remember exactly, a month, but we had two times less vaccination points. Now the points are expanding, we will continue to open them, therefore, I think that we will be able to handle it quickly enough by winter", - the "head of the Ministry of Health" noted, without specifying that only 86 thousand doses of the Sputnik Light single-component vaccine were imported from Russia to CADO after a long break.

At the same time, he expressed the hope that supplies of the Russian vaccine would become regular in the future.
