Rada increases number of Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted draft law No.5558 on increasing the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the second reading and as a whole, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

312 people's deputies supported the decision.

According to the text of the bill, the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is increasing by 11 thousand servicemen.

"The goals and objectives of the bill are to increase the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to create and ensure the functioning of a separate branch of forces - territorial defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the development of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the interests of forming a resistance movement", - the explanatory note to document said.
