The Verkhovna Rada has voted for the resignation of Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

291 People's Deputies supported the decision.

As previously reported, on Tuesday, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote a letter of resignation from the post of Interior Minister, which he held for 7 years.

During a meeting of the Servant of the People faction on July 13, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Law Enforcement Activities Denys Monastyrsky was introduced to the People's Deputies as a candidate for the post of Minister of Internal Affairs.
