The Verkhovna Rada has adopted draft law No. 5502-d "On recognizing the Law of Ukraine "On the creation of the "Crimea" free economic zone and on the specifics of carrying out economic activities in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine" as invalid" in the second reading and as a whole, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

328 people's deputies supported the decision.

The document cancels the regime of the "Crimea" free economic zone in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and the peculiarities of economic relations in the temporarily occupied territory, taking into account the restrictions caused by the occupation.

According to the authors of the bill, it removes the possibility of conducting shady business with the occupiers, as well as discriminatory provisions against Ukrainian citizens with a Crimean residence permit, who are now considered non-residents in the legislation.

The "Crimea" free economic zone discriminates against Ukrainian citizens with a Crimean residence permit and creates preferential conditions for working with the occupier. We create opportunities to sponsor the aggressor with our own hands. In fact, we equate our people with foreigners", - People's Deputy from Voice Rustem Umerov notes.

In addition, the draft law proposes to regulate the procedure for persons entering and leaving the temporarily occupied territory, secure the right to free secondary legal aid for Ukrainian citizens living in the temporarily occupied territory and ensure the implementation of the right to inheritance for such persons.
