Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not rule out the option of an invasion of Russian troops of the Donbas controlled by Ukraine. He told this in an interview with the German Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, - the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine reports.

When asked what kind of danger is possible from the Russian Federation, the President replied: "There are many military options possible from the Russian Federation, including naval operations. We are too concerned about this, and now there is a blocking of the Azov-Black Sea region by Russian ships. They control it in spite of international law, violating it. This is what you said - one of the options for reaching the Crimea and to cut through this corridor with mainland Ukraine. Escalation from the occupied Donbas is possible, we understand this very well. Great Leap, Blitzkrieg to the borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. We are considering and preparing for such steps".

At the same time, Zelensky considers the situation around Belarus a serious threat.

"But there may be, let us say, "surprises" on the other part. Now there is a very dangerous situation in Belarus. These are our northern borders. We understand that Russia and Belarus are constantly considering and agreeing on an important geopolitical and, probably, defense deal. After that, there can be a really serious influence of Russia and serious coordination and control of the Belarusian armed forces. In this case, we can consider the risk from that side. We do not know the details of this treaty on the creation of a union state. But if, for example, we are talking about a corridor to the Crimea, it means that it will not be possible to cover up this situation with a "civil conflict". It will be an open full-scale war", - he noted.
