Leader of the "DNR" Denis Pushilin has explained the ban on entry to the Azov coast without a special pass by the threat of COVID-19 and the proximity to the contact line. This is reported by separatist media.

As previously reported, throughout the entire period of the Russian occupation, the Novoazovsk district of the Donetsk oblast remains a high security territory with limited entry of citizens who are not registered there.

Speaking to the so-called "employees of the district administration", Pushilin confirmed that vacationers must pass through the checkpoint and have special passes to enter the Azov Sea coast in this holiday season.

According to the puppet ruler of CADO, this will not interfere with the holiday season. "You just need to register in advance at places of accommodation - local boarding houses, mini-hotels or private entrepreneurs", - he consoled potential summer visitors.

"The head of state explained the presence of restrictions on entry to the resort village (Siedove - OstroV) by its proximity to the contact line and the threat of coronavirus infection", - the media quoted Pushilin's version.
