2608 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine

2608 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

2608 people fell ill over the past day, including 129 children and 76 health workers. 854 people were hospitalized, 249 – died.

17 504 people recovered on May 24.

52 279 tests were carried over the past day, of which 23 440 – by PCR, 12 650 – by EIA and 16 189 – by rapid antigen tests.

2 186 463 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1 975 064 patients recovered and 49 685 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (402), the Lviv (214), Zaporizhzhia (206), Kyiv (170) and Dnipropetrovsk (168) oblasts.
