President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said he was ready to exchange detained in Ukraine two employees of the GRU of Russia for Nadezhda Savchenko. He said this on Facebook after the announcement of N.Savchenko’s verdict.

"President Putin said during the meeting in the Normand format that he would return Nadezhda Savchenko to Ukraine after the so-called judicial decision. It’s high time to fulfill the promise. I, in my turn, am ready to transfer to Russia two Russian servicemen detained on our territory for participation in armed aggression against Ukraine. Immediately after completion of the legal proceedings I am ready to ensure their departure to Russia by appropriate procedures. This approach is in compliance with paragraph six of the Minsk agreements - about the exchange of all for all. And it should be done immediately,"- said the President.

Poroshenko stressed once again that Ukraine did not recognize sentence in Russia.

"Ukraine will never - I emphasize once again, never! - recognize either trial of Nadezhda Savchenko or the so-called sentence. It was a shameful trial that the aggressor country staged against the Ukrainian Officer with a capital letter, who, as expected, defended her land from enemy attacks. I believe that our joint efforts will be successful. And the Hero of Ukraine, People's Deputy of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces officer will return to our home, where we all are waiting for her," – says the statement.
