More than 5 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine

5138 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

5138 people fell ill over the past day, including 260 children and 187 health workers. 2269 people were hospitalized, 227 – died.

17 102 people recovered on May 18.

77 685 tests were carried over the past day, of which 31 935 – by PCR, 13 094 – by EIA and 32 656 – by rapid antigen tests.

2 165 233 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1 899 446 patients recovered and 48 696 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (477), the Kharkiv (567), Dnipropetrovsk (457), Donetsk (336) and Kyiv (336) oblasts.
