The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has sent one of the leaders of OPFL Viktor Medvedchuk on house arrest until July 9. This became known from the broadcast of the court session, - LIGA.net reports.

Judge Vyacheslav Pidpalyi denied the prosecution's request for a measure of restraint for Medvedchuk in the form of detention with a bail of almost $11 million.

The court ruled that Medvedchuk must hand over his passport and other documents that give him the right to leave. In addition, he is required to wear an electronic bracelet.

The report recalls that the SBU came with a search to Medvedchuk's houses and the office of the OPSL

on May 11, the SBU came with a search to Medvedchuk's houses and the office of OPFL: he and his associate, OPFL People's Deputy Taras Kozak, are suspected of treason, violation of the rules of war and an attempt to plunder national resources in the Ukrainian Crimea. According to the SBU, Kozak is in the Russian Federation. According to the investigation, both entered into a preliminary conspiracy with the Russian authorities in 2015 to extract Ukrainian-owned minerals on the Black Sea shelf. The SBU also says that Medvedchuk sent secret information about the AFU location to Kozak in the Russian Federation. The creation of the Promin organization is related to the criminal case: it was allegedly supposed to recruit Ukrainians in the interests of the Russian Federation. Yesterday, May 12, Medvedchuk came to the Office of the Prosecutor General and announced that he was ready to be arrested.
