The Kremlin is ready to discuss any issues with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, except for resolving the situation in Donbas. This was stated by press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, answering the question of what Putin and Zelensky can discuss, except for the Donbas issue.

"It depends on how Kyiv understands the essence, forerunners and future of bilateral relations. How much these relations are needed by the people of Ukraine. Putin said that we are interested in establishing good relations with all countries, especially neighbors", - Peskov said.

He emphasized that the question of situation in the Donbas cannot be the topic of conversation between the two presidents. "The desire to talk can only be welcomed. Kozak is in constant contact with the office of the President of Ukraine. The attitude of the president to the initiative to talk - to topics - was clearly stated. Such a dialogue can only concern the topics of bilateral relations. Dialogue cannot be carried out on the basis of the goals of seeking a solution to the conflict in the south-east of Ukraine. Russia is not a party to this conflict. The only right step can only be the implementation of provisions of the Minsk package of measures", - Peskov noted.

A joint statement by 46 UN countries on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the adoption by the UN General Assembly of the resolution on the territorial integrity of Ukraine says that Russia is a party to the conflict in the Donbas, and not a mediator.
