More than 16 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine

16 235 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov on Facebook.

16 235 people fell ill over the past day, including 663 children and 319 health workers. 3904 people were hospitalized, 470 – died.

18 831 people recovered on April 21.

101 981 tests were carried over the past day, of which 46 516 – by PCR, 17 644 – by EIA and 17 644 – by rapid antigen tests.

1 990 353 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1 533 303 patients recovered and 41 266 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (1673), the Kharkiv (1333), Zaporizhzhia (995) and Dnipropetrovsk (9766) and Kyiv (887) oblasts.
