More than 12 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine

12 162 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov on Facebook.

12 162 people fell ill over the past day, including 532 children and 326 health workers. 4411 people were hospitalized, 429 – died.

14 720 people recovered on April 20.

109 007 tests were carried over the past day, of which 46 746 – by PCR, 17 235 – by EIA and 45 026 – by rapid antigen tests.

1 974 118 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1 514 472 patients recovered and 40 796 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (965), the Kharkiv (938), Kyiv (881), Zaporizhzhia (845) and Dnipropetrovsk (771) oblasts.
