6.5 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine on Sunday

6506 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov on Facebook.

6506 people fell ill over the past day, including 253 children and 98 health workers. 2387 people were hospitalized, 214 – died.

5598 people recovered on April 18.

27 488 tests were carried over the past day, of which 15 811 – by PCR, 4037 – by EIA and 27 640 – by rapid antigen tests.

1 953 016 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1 487 677 patients recovered and 40 000 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the Dnipropetrovsk (761), Kharkiv (622), Lviv (490) and Mykolaiv (461) oblasts, as well as in the city of Kyiv (447).
