More than 17 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine

17 479 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov on Facebook.

17 479 people fell ill over the past day, including 709 children and 378 health workers. 4348 people were hospitalized, 438 – died.

12 054 people recovered on April 15.

109 584 tests were carried over the past day, of which 47 421 – by PCR, 19 030 – by EIA and 43 133 – by rapid antigen tests.

1 921 244 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1 465 820 patients recovered and 39 096 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (1609), the Kharkiv (1377), Lviv (1365), Dnipropetrovsk (1332) and Odesa (1315) oblasts.
