Rada adopts statement on escalation of situation in Donbas

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted Resolution No.5312 on the escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

308 people's deputies supported the decision.

In a statement, the Verkhovna Rada condemned the ongoing armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

In addition, the Ukrainian parliament:

- demands from the Russian Federation to immediately cease hostilities and unswervingly observe the ceasefire,

- calls on the parliaments of foreign states and international parliamentary organizations to condemn the aggressive policy of the Russian Federation towards Ukraine, incl. the last wave of escalation in the conflict zone,

- calls on the world community to continue and strengthen international political and economic pressure on the Russian Federation in order to end the aggression.

As previously reported, four AFU soldiers were killed and two were wounded in the direction of the settlement of Shumy on the afternoon of March 26 as a result of the enemy shelling.
