Almost 16 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine

15 850 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This is reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov on Facebook.

15 850 people fell ill over the past day, including 830 children and 401 health workers. 4444 people were hospitalized, 262 – died.

4592 people recovered on March 18.

115 274 tests were carried over the past day, of which 53 379 – by PCR, 21 241 – by EIA and 40 654 – by rapid antigen tests.

1 519 926 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1 248 782 patients recovered and 29 515 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (1210), the Lviv (1140), Kyiv (1134), Kharkiv (1085) and Vinnytsia (948) oblasts.
