More than 15 thousand new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine

15 053 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This is reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov on Facebook.

15 053 people fell ill over the past day, including 744 children and 425 health workers. 4376 people were hospitalized, 267 – died.

6514 people recovered on March 17.

118 780 tests were carried over the past day, of which 53 039 – by PCR, 21 782 – by EIA and 43 959 – by rapid antigen tests.

1 504 076 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1 244 190 patients recovered and 29 253 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (1092), the Zhytomyr (1398), Lviv (1092), Odesa (997) and Khmalnytskyi (800) oblasts.
