According to the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, occupied Sevastopol entered the top three settlements in terms of the growth of crime. Member of the Federation Council of Russia Sergey Kolbin, who was illegally elected from this Ukrainian city, told this on the air of the Govorit Moskva radio station.

According to him, the spike in crime is associated to a great extent with the influx of Ukrainian citizens from the Russian-occupied Donbas.

"You know, I think this is due to a certain arrival of migrants to the Crimean peninsula… The border zone – Ukraine is near, the republics of the LNR and DNR are not so far away. The arrival of these people increases somewhere", - he said.

The newly minted "senator" Sergey Kolbin is a classic example of traitor to the Motherland and traitor to the oath. In 1991, that is, already under independent Ukraine, he graduated from the Donetsk Higher Military-Political School, he served in the Sevastopol Ministry of Internal Affairs since 2003. He suppressed the Euromaidan in Kyiv in 2013-2014, being at the head of the Berkut special unit, and later became an activist in the so-called "Crimean Spring", welcoming the Russian occupation of the peninsula.
