Almost 12 thousand new cases of COVID-19 and almost 300 deaths recorded in Ukraine

11 833 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This is reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov on Facebook.

11 833 people fell ill over the past day, including 609 children and 388 health workers. 4887 people were hospitalized, 289 – died.

5467 people recovered on March 16.

121 144 tests were carried over the past day, of which 50 966 – by PCR, 22 035 – by EIA and 48 143 – by rapid antigen tests.

1 489 023 people fell ill for the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 1 237 676 patients recovered and 28 986 – died.

The largest number of confirmed cases over the past day was registered in the city of Kyiv (1121), the Lviv (884), Odesa (883), Vinnytsia (750) and Kharkiv (750) oblasts.
