With Russia's aggression only growing, the United Nations needs to strategically look at the future of Donbas. This was stated by Head of the Ukrainian delegation to participate in the TCG Leonid Kravchuk on February 11 during a meeting of the UN Security Council dedicated to the sixth anniversary of signing of the Minsk Package of Measures as of February 12, 2015.

In particular, Kravchuk stressed that "the Kremlin has not made a decision to finally end the conflict". "Aggression continues. People are dying. The suffering of civilians is increasing", - Kravchuk stated.

He stressed that "Ukraine is taking practical steps to resolve the conflict, overcoming Russia's opposition in the negotiation process". At the same time, Kravchuk especially noted that "many of these steps would have been impossible without the support of our partners, including the UN, both at the bilateral and multilateral levels".

Kravchuk also stated that Russia did not reciprocate Ukraine's specific efforts to resolve the situation in the Donbas.
